In My Father’s Arms I’m Safe
Sharing a sneak peak of a new worship song while reflecting on this summer
Wow! The Lord has just been so faithful this summer! He’s taught me to slow down and dwell on His word deep in the forests of Northern Ireland. He’s shown me that He uses every part of my life intentionally. My heart has grown in gratitude visiting youth on construction missions in the beaming sun.
Even in the midst of a hectic busy past two months, I’ve felt the sustenance from the Lord so clearly.

There has been some real challenges, too. Moments where I questioned my purpose, moments when I felt tired to my bones. Times I chose distraction over discipleship.
But beautiful moments of growth happened through all of it. It reminds me how I’m so glad this Christian journey is called a walk. One foot in front of the other, drawing closer to the Lord step by step. Letting His goodness blow our minds in new ways minute by minute.
Where I’ve Seen His Goodness…
I saw the goodness of the Lord on my mission trip to Northern Ireland. I saw seeds being planted when I helped teach 3rd graders at vacation Bible School this year. I was so encouraged while leading worship at Kentucky Changers a couple weeks ago that there are youth who truly have a heart for the Lord and His mission. I sang at a worship seminar and was reminded yet again how incredible it is that the veil tore and we can now boldly approach the throne of God.
In short, I’ve seen His goodness all over.
Why am I telling you this?
Because I think it’s so important that we testify to the goodness of the Lord in our lives! In fact, I want to hear how the Lord has blessed you this summer. Encourage me with your stories, too! Let us remind ourselves of His faithfulness. Let’s remember that we are safe in Christ.
And speaking of safe…it felt so good to share a new, unreleased song live again for the first time in a while. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE playing songs from my first EP Joy Is Coming live as often as I can, but there’s something so special about looking over a crowd of teenagers and saying, guess what? This one hasn’t been heard live yet.
That song is called “Safe.” I wrote it from all my favorite Bible verses that tell me to not be afraid in the midst of struggling with anxiety.
Let me know what you think of this one! It has been close to my heart these last couple weeks!
What’s Next?
Songwriting! And lots of it! I’m currently in the process of composing music for my senior composition recital as well as writing on Secret EP #2!
More acoustic folk music about journeying through life with Jesus coming your way soon!
I’ve been sharing a lot of music recently on my social media, so if you are a YouTube person, you may want to make sure you’re subscribed to my channel! Or follow me on my FB page!
I’m also so excited for more little moments of joy that are all around us if we’re just brave enough to slow down and look.
The Lord bless you and keep you, my friend!
