Get Out of My Head: Story Behind the Song
I don’t know about you, but I lie to myself. A lot.

It’s a vicious cycle.
- “I’m not good enough.”
- “I’m not pretty enough.”
- “I’m not smart enough.”
Or, there’s the resounding clang:
- “I won’t succeed.”
- “I’m too young.”
- “I’m too old.”
- “I shouldn’t even try.”
- “Giving up would be easier.”
I hate that soundtrack, and I hate how it loves to blast in my mind.
It’s like radio interference in my soul. I have this beautiful song full of truth and love and identity given straight to me from my Heavenly Father, but then these blips interrupt the melody. They can be so, SO LOUD.
I yearn to change that tune. Maybe you do, too.
For the days that the playlist inside your mind is too full of doubt and insecurities, I wrote this song for you. “Get Out of My Head” is a declaration, an anthem over your life that you are DONE with lies.
We are capable and called to so much more than we think. Friend, you have a mighty mission planned out for you. You are loved, treasured, and delighted in by your maker.
Instead of “I’m not enough,” it’s time for “ENOUGH WITH THESE LIES.”
All we need to hear is that still, small voice telling us the truth.
I hope you enjoy the official lyric video for “Get Out of My Head.”
